This is a welcome note to introduce myself and give you an idea of what you’ve gotten yourself into. Or rather, what
has been encouraging me to do for months— I finally caved and now it everyone’s problem.About me: I’m Risdon. I work in intimacy and sex.
You can find me on set as an intimacy coordinator, on the radio or in print talking about media portrayals of sex work, in my office working with clients to overcome sexual dysfunction, or facilitating a restorative circle after relational harm.
I am a retired stripper and surrogate partner, as well as a graduate student in psychology, where I am working to be licensed as a couples, sex, and sex addiction specialist.
For my writing, expect a combination of essays about sex and gender from a structuralist and psycho-educational lens, as well as less academic rants about SW and sexual economics.
I’m going to start by publishing some of my academic work and previous journalistic contributions.
I encourage your feedback and thoughts and think this will be more fun if we interact together. So be sure to tell me what you like and want to see more of. I’m stoked to chat with you. LETS GET WEIRD.
